Angharad Rayner

Biography

Angharad joined Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) (Magnox as it was then) in 2006 as a trainee health physicist. She spent eight years in radiation protection, including four years leading the department.鈥疭he joined the Trawsfynydd lead team as EHSS&Q manager before moving to being waste operations manager, latterly she was then site director at Trawsfynydd, becoming the first woman in the UK to run a nuclear decommissioning site.聽Angharad was seconded to the NDA as EHS Director in 2024 but has now returned to NRS as EHSS&Q Director.

Angharad was one of the first cohort to train as a mental health first aider and was a founder member of the NRS Women鈥檚 Network.聽

She is president of Wales Nuclear Forum and a role model across our industry, particularly for women in the energy sector.
