Details

The 2011 skills for life survey provides a national profile of adult literacy, numeracy, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills, and assesses the impact that different levels of skills had on people鈥檚 lives. BIS commissioned this follow-up survey in 2010 to:

  • examine changes in literacy and numeracy levels among the adult population of England
  • provide a baseline of ICT skills among adults in England
  • understand the demographic, social and motivational factors related to people鈥檚 skills levels

Underlying tables for the small area estimation data are also available.
