You may be able to claim an overseas state pension before you鈥檙e UK State Pension age. Your eligibility will depend on that country鈥檚 rules.

If you lived or worked in a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland, you can to find out:

  • the pension age for the country you lived or worked in

  • how long you need to have lived or worked in the country to be eligible

To make a claim for a foreign pension, please complete and return this form to the International Pension Centre in Newcastle using the freepost address.

You must only use this form if you have lived or worked in one of the countries listed on this page. To claim state pension from a country that is not named on this page, apply to their pension scheme directly.

You need to tell us about the following countries if you have lived in any of them:

What happens next

We will send the information you give us to the relevant foreign authorities. They will decide if you are entitled to a pension from them, and will write to you to tell you their decision.
