Details

On 3 March 2022, Natural England submitted a report to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out proposed changes to the approved route of the King Charles III England Coast Path at Saunton Down, Down End, Croyde in Devon, a section of the Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth stretch.

The opportunity to comment closed at midnight, Thursday 28 April 2022. You can no longer make a representation or objection on proposals.

Objections were passed to an independent planning inspector who made a recommendation to the Secretary of State about each one.

The Secretary of State considered all representations and objections before making a decision about Natural England鈥檚 proposals.

Outcome

On 13 January 2021, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for lengths CMM1 to CMM3, CMM5 to CMM7, CMM9 and CMM10.

On 23 November 2023, the Secretary of State approved the proposals for lengths CMM4, CMM8 and VR11.

Natural England will publish further details of the approved route in due course.
