This standard rules permit allows you to operate a materials recycling facility handling source segregated recyclable household waste, and similar wastes from commercial and industrial sources.听听
You can apply for this standard rules permit if:听

your activity meets the rules set out in the permit听

you can manage the potential risks as set out in the generic risk assessment听
The charges for applying for this standard rules permit are:听

拢3,926 for a new standard rules permit application听

拢1,178 for a minor variation to the permit听

拢2,529 to transfer the permit听

拢2,356 to surrender the permit听
There is also an annual subsistence charge of 拢4,169 for the standard rules permit.听

This permit replaces:听听
If you cannot comply with the new standard rules permit you will need to鈥�apply to vary your permit鈥痠nto a bespoke permit. You must usually apply within 3 months of the date the standard rules was published (18 December 2024). We have extended this to 27 June 2025.听Extension to comply with new standard rules permits RPS 331.
